MEET KATE GLADDIN ✦
She knows how to Create the Good because she’s lived through moments where there was none to find.
Resilience speaker, author, podcast host, life coach, and advocate who helps people respond with purpose, even when everything feels uncertain, hard, and overwhelming.
Resilience Keynotes for teams who are done with fluff
Kate gives high-impact keynotes for people and organizations navigating real change.
When Lightning Strikes Twice
For Kate, it did.
At just 20 years old, Kate lost her sister Nicole to a reckless driver while traveling in Thailand. Twelve years later, her mum Julie was killed by a reckless driver in Wyoming when visiting from Australia — the same unthinkable nightmare on repeat.
When she sat in Nicole's room choosing a dress for her to be buried in instead of married in, "positive thinking" advice was useless. There was no silver lining when her mum's death was classified as a misdemeanor despite the driver's long criminal history.
But there were problems Kate could solve: tourists dying on dangerous roads with no safety education, and dangerous drivers facing no real accountability. That purpose built a nonprofit reaching 200,000+ students, national travel safety campaigns, and ongoing work to change Wyoming's vehicular homicide laws so repeat offenders face real accountability.
That's the foundation of Kate's message: when life feels uncontrollable, we can still control how we respond and what we create next.
“Kate Gladdin shows us her heart and pain, but then shows us the way.”

Mother & Daughter, side by side.
The Nicole & Julie Fitzsimons Foundation is where "Create the Good" becomes real.
Travel safety education for 200,000+ students. National campaigns that bring travelers home safely. $300,000+ in grants for young artists and athletes Nicole would have championed. Advocacy for law changes that hold dangerous drivers accountable.
Nicole hated seeing talented friends held back by financial struggles. Mum dedicated herself to honoring Nicole's memory through action. Now Kate carries that torch for both of them. This is the heartbeat of everything Kate teaches: purpose found in problems, resilience built through action, good created when life isn't.

A Note from Kate
When I’m not on stage or working with teams, you’ll usually find me in Wyoming with my husband, Nate, and our dogs Jaku and George — coming back from the trail, or squeezing in time on the reformer (I’m obsessed!). I’m a proud Aussie at heart and still deeply connected to home, but life has a funny way of taking you exactly where you’re meant to be.
I don’t believe in waiting for the “right” moment or overthinking what deserves a wholehearted yes. Life taught me not to take time for granted, and that belief shapes how I live, how I work, and how I show up for others. I’m really glad you found your way here.
