When Someone You Love is Suicidal or Self Destructive - 051

Header51.png

Nothing in life can be more stressful than watching someone you love battle through depression or a mental health condition that has them on the verge of suicide or self destructive behaviour.

How do we find strength in these moments? How can we support them without completely draining ourselves in the process? What's the best thing we can do to stop falling into victimhood and helplessness when we're not sure what to do next?

All of these questions are answered in this episode as I share with you the beliefs, perspectives and choices I've made in similar situations to help me find strength for a loved one when they need it most.

If you or a loved one is ever struggling with suicidal thoughts, please seek help IMMEDIATELY by calling Lifeline 131 114 from within Australia or National Suicide Prevention Hotline on 1800 273 8255 from within the USA.
